The Definition of "Design"

Design is the method of putting form and content together. Design, just as art, has multiple definitions; there is no single definition.
Design can be art.
Design can be aesthetics.
Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated.
- Paul Rand

We are first and foremost designers, dedicated to each project. We pride ourselves on being receptive and creative, and capable of turning dreams into realities. But as this quote implies, design embodies more than making something that is purely pleasing to the eye.

It requires form and function. The design of a dining table, no matter how beautifully it photographed, would be useless if it were not functional for a family to gather around.

It requires sentiment. Each piece should evoke a feeling in the client, and even those just passing by.

It requires commitment to tie all of those aspects together in a single piece, and that is what Scathain provides, a solution to the complicated questions.
